Sai Spiritual Education for Children

Sathya Sai Baba teaches us that “the end of education is character” and that “education is for life and not merely for a living”. Thus, the aim of the educational programs initiated and inspired by Sathya Sai Baba is to mold children and youth into noble human beings of integral character and spiritual awareness. Secular knowledge and subject-matter expertise is important of course however, it can only yield proper results when balanced with adequate character.

Sathya Sai Baba calls this educational philosophy Edu-care, which is also the root of the word Education and Latin for “bringing forth that which is latent within.” Sathya Sai Educare has the following four components. You may also watch this Educare Video.

Sai Spiritual Education (SSE): Studies the life and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba and it’s conducted within Sai Centers. For more information about the SSE program across Sai Centers in Region 10, please visit our Region 10, USA Sai Centers page. Anyone interested in enrolling children in the Sai Spiritual Education is requested to contact the Sai Center President or Education Coordinator.

Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV): Focuses primarily on the application of the five universal Human Values – Truth, Right-Conduct, Peace, Love, Non-Violence – and it’s designed for implementation in community settings, especially educational institutions and community centers. For more information, please visit the ISSE-USA website.

Sathya Sai Schools: Combine the concepts behind SSE and SSEHV into a model school for overall Sathya Sai Education.

Institutes of Sathya Sai Education (ISSE): These are the institutions chartered with the training of Sathya Sai educational programs.
