Sai Spiritual Education

Sai Spiritual Education is the spiritual heart of Sai Education.

The SSE curriculum rests upon five universal human values:

Truth, Right, Action, Peace, Love and Non-Violence

The curriculum also focuses on the unity of faiths and on the brother-hood and the father-hood of God This curriculum is designed to help students develop their innate human potential. Within the nature of each child is the capacity for truth, right action, peace, love, and non-violence. These human values manifest, when they are brought to the child’s awareness.

SSE Classes:

SSE Classes will be starting from Aug 24th 2008. Please click the link for SSE registration 2008-2009.

SSE Classes are held every Sunday, from 2: 00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Classes are followed by center bhajans, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The SSE classes are for children ages 5 to 16. The classes are divided into 5 group

Age Groups:

• Story Group: Age 5
• Group I: Ages 6 - 9
• Group II: Ages 10-12
• Group III : Ages 13 - 16

Groups I, II, and III follow a structured SSE curriculum as per Swami’s guidelines. The story group syllabus is simplified and may not follow the exact structure of the SSE curriculum.

The SSE school year is divided into five units each containing six weeks. The first four classes in a unit are taught according to structured lesson plans that are developed for that age group. On the fifth week of each unit, children are required to participate in a service project planned by the teachers with parents’ help. On the sixth week of each unit, there is a presentation by selected SSE children in the main bhajan hall. All attempts are made so that every child in the class gets an opportunity to do such presentation. All children are required to attend the presentation.

The Teaching technique across all classes incorporates five teaching components, and they are;

• Quotation/ Thought for the Week
• Storytelling
• Silent Sitting/ Tuning In
• Group Singing
• Activities
